Vas (iron) is one of the smallest Hungarian counties. From the summit of the "Irottkő", the second highest mountain of Hungary (881m) to the flat lands of the river Raab the county always surprises you. You have to see the sleeping settlements and the the gentle hills of the almost unaffected national park Őrség, the pulsating life of the capital Szombathely, the interesting old buildings of the city of Kőszeg and the internationality of the popular thermal spas Bük and Sárvár. The neighbourhood to Austria and Slovenia makes the people more welcoming.
