Safety inspection of the electrical system is mandatory

Energy Performance Certificates obligatory.

In Hungary, an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)is required by law when selling or leasing.

For buyer is important that the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is required for homes that are larger than 50sqm of living space and have more than 4 months to be used in the year. Likewise, an EPC is required for rental, if the term of the rental contract is more than 1 year. There are futher regulations concerning commercial properties and public buildings, but they are of no impartance for the classic tenants and buyers. EPCs are valid 10 years.
