In Hungary, an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)is required by law when selling or leasing.

For buyer is important that the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is required for homes that are larger than 50sqm of living space and have more than 4 months to be used in the year. Likewise, an EPC is required for rental, if the term of the rental contract is more than 1 year.
